Faxing
This article is for students and staff seeking information on faxing while on OTC Campuses. Faxing has been phased out to limited locations on a business-need basis as this technology is used less commonly now and is not considered as secure as other methods for transferring information.
Student Faxing
Students are able to send faxes at the Hamra Library in the Information Commons building of the Springfield campus. It is not advised to receive faxes at this location as this device is publicly accessible and anyone could intercept a fax you request at this location.

How to Send a Fax
If this is a student-facing copier, you will need to login and tap Access Device followed by the physical Home (House) button on the machine to reach the main functions menu.
The menus may vary somewhat by make/model of device.
Place your document(s) on the glass or into the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) at the top of the device.
Tap Fax.
Tap your Address Book option or click the keypad icon to manually enter a phone number:
Type in the 10-digit destination phone fax number.
Hit Send.
If the fax fails, please confirm the fax number is correct and in service. You can call the number from a phone line and if you get a disconnected or other error notice, the problem is with the number. Modem/faxing noises would be expected to be heard on a working fax line when dialed from a phone line. Otherwise, contact the Help Desk.
