Changing your monitor layout (display order)

Purpose

Your monitors might be out of order after your computer is rebuilt or after an operating system upgrade. This will cause your mouse cursor to not transition correctly between displays.

Instructions

  • Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Display settings.

  • Click Identify.

  • Numbers will appear on each monitor - take note of the order.

  • Left-click and drag the numbered boxes to reflect the actual order of your monitors, then click Apply.

Note: To change which monitor will be your main display: left click one of the numbered boxes, check the Make this my main display box, and click Apply.
