Projector and SMART Board troubleshooting

SMART Board display

  • If the classroom teacher's workstation has 1 monitor, the projector or SMART Board should duplicate the monitor.

  • If the classroom teacher's workstation has 2 monitors, the projector or SMART Board should duplicate the LEFT monitor.

This is IT procedure to reduce confusion in classrooms where multiple teachers may be using the workstation. It can cause significant difficulty for instructors if these settings are changed and the next instructor is not expecting altered projector settings that may be projecting the opposite screen they expect, or set as an extended display.

The Windows Key + P can be used to bring up the Windows Projection Options.
