Photo Upload Instructions

Please Read Carefully

Before you begin, review the following requirements to ensure a smooth process.

Requirements

  1. Government-Issued ID Required
    You must have a valid government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, or military ID).

    • Take a clear photo of your ID before beginning this process.

    • Ensure the entire ID is visible and readable.

NOTE: Your government ID is strictly used for photo identification purposes and is deleted from the system after your photo is approved. For additional information, please refer to Privacy Policies | Ozarks Tech.

  • If you do not have a government-issued ID, please contact the Helpdesk at 417-447-7548 or email helpdesk@otc.edu.

  1. Camera Access
    You may be prompted to allow access to camera during this process.
      -> Make sure to click “Allow”.

  2. Mobile Device Setup
    We recommend that you confirm your browser has permission to use your camera.

  • Apple (iPhone/iPad):

Go to SettingsAppsSafari (or the browser you will use such as Chrome)

Tap Camera → Select Allow

  • Android:

Go to SettingsApps locate your browser (example: Chrome) → under your browser → verify camera is allowed.

  1. Desktop Users
    A webcam is required to take your photo.

 

Upload Your Photo

Step 1 - From the browser you allowed camera access, navigate to https://idphoto.ozarkstech.edu

 Step 2  - Enter your Ozarks Tech (XXXX@otc.edu) email address and select the Next button.

Step 3  - Enter your OTC email password. Then press the Sign in button.

NOTE:  You may be prompted for your Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) using the Microsoft Authenticator app, which is required to access many Ozarks Tech systems.

 

Step 4 - If prompted to Stay signed in, just click on Yes.

IMPORTANT:  If the website prompts to use your camera, click on ALLOW.

Step 5 - Please READ the directions on the screen carefully before taking your picture.  Align your shoulders in the bottom oval and your head in the top bubble as closely as possible.  Your camera lens should be at eye level.

Step 6 - When you are ready, press the camera icon to take your picture.  There will be a 3 second countdown.  Hold your pose until the picture has been taken. 

NOTE:  If you need more time, select the timer icon located in the upper-left corner to adjust the time.

Step 7 - After you have taken your picture, it will be analyzed. 

  • If the photo is questionable, the message below will be displayed noting a staff member review is required. It is recommended you retake your photo. To retake your photo, click on “Edit Photo” below your photo.

  • If the photo is acceptable, you will see the message below:

Step 8 - Once you get the message that your photo looks great, select the Next button to begin uploading your government-issued ID.

PRIVACY NOTE: Your government ID is strictly used to verify your identity by comparing the photo you upload against your photo on your government ID. No other information from your government ID is used. Your government ID will NOT be stored more than a few days. Once we have approved your photo for your ID, your government ID is deleted from the system.

Step 9 - Click on the .jpg or .png

iPhone users:  You have the option of Photo Library, Take Photo, or Choose a File.  Click on Photo Library and select the picture you took of your Government ID from your Photo Library.

Android users: Click on .jpg and select the photo you took earlier of your Government ID. 

 

FINAL Step:  After you have uploaded your Government ID, click on the blue Submit & Sign Out.

NOTE: Please allow 2-3 business days for your photo to be approved.
