This article will cover different aspects of Signagelive, including accessing networks, creating playlists, and publishing to Signagelive players.

  1. Click the Content tab, then Playlist, then Create/Edit:

  2. You are now on your playlist management screen. Click the blue + button on the upper-left, then click Media Asset Upload to upload your assets:

    • Note: You can upload individual image assets or a singular mp4 file. There are pros and cons for each, detailed further down.

  3. The Media Asset Upload dialog box will launch. You can click the box to add content, or drag and drop content into the box. Once you have added content select the check box next to "I confirm I have permission from the content owner to use and distribute these assets." Your assets will automatically upload.

  4. Once uploaded, you can move assets into folders for organizational purposes. To make a new folder, use the same blue + button as before and create a new folder.

  1. To create a new playlist OR edit an existing playlist, click the Content tab then select Playlist, then Create/Edit:

    • To edit an existing playlist, click the Open Playlist button:

  2. To create a new playlist, drag content to the right side of the window:

  3. When you are done selecting assets, preview the playlist by clicking the Preview Playlist button:

  4. When you are ready, save this playlist by clicking the Save Playlist button:

    • Note: Give the playlist a unique name that will help you and others identify this playlist from others.

  5. Once you have named your Playlist, click Save:

  1. Click the Content tab and select Publish:

  2. In the Publish tab, you must first select from 3 different options for when you would like the content to play:

    • When Nothing else is scheduled – This content will only be shown when there is nothing else scheduled to be played on a player.

    • Between the chosen dates and times – You can set a start and end date, on selected days, or between selected times. To publish something immediately, choose this one:

      • Set the Start date to today and the time to now.

      • The End can be left on "Until further notice," or you can "Choose date" to pick a date for it to end.

      • Leave "Play every day" selected, or select days you would like it to play.

      • Leave "Play all day" selected, or select the times you would like it to play.

  3. Next, click What you want to publish:

  4. Choose Playlist to publish the playlist you just created.

  5. The Select Playlist dialog box will open. Select the playlist you wish to publish, and click OK:

    • You will see a preview of the playlist you selected:

  6. Click Which Players do you want to publish to?, and then Select Players:

  7. The Select Players dialog box will pop up. Click the checkbox next to the player in which you would like to publish content, and click OK:

  8. If you are confident that your content is ready to publish, select Review & Publish:

  9. Once you click Review & Publish this screen will be displayed:

    • You can preview the content here.  It will display the total duration, size, number of assets, etc.

  10. Verify your content, then click Publish to Player.  You will receive a notification when the publication is submitted, as well as an email confirmation.

  1. The Status tab provides an overview of the player, including when it last rebooted, last checked for content, etc.

  2. The Connectivity tab allows you to modify when the player checks for content, when it reboots and allows you to enable remote screenshots (see 5).

  3. The Content and Screen On/Off tab allows you to see what playlists are published to this player and remove old playlists from the player as needed.

    • Removing playlists from a player does not delete them from your network.

  4. On the Status tab, the Has Downloaded All Content indicator will tell you if the player has downloaded its new content:

    • Green = all content downloaded.

    • Red = content being downloaded, not completed.

    • Orange = new content pending, player has not done a content check yet.

  5. If enabled, Latest Screenshot will show you a screenshot of the latest slide to be shown on the player.
