If you have multiple monitors and would like to change the way in which they display, this article will walk you through rearranging their display order.

Instructions:

Use the Windows key + P key to manage multiple displays.  When pressing this shortcut, you will see the following options:

  • PC Screen Only:  This will show the desktop ONLY on the main monitor.  Any other display (Secondary Monitor, Projector, or TV) connected to this PC will display a blank screen.

  • Duplicate:  This will show your desktop on your main monitor and secondary monitor.  Whatever is displayed on one monitor will be exactly what is displayed on the other monitor.  Note:  This is our standard classroom setup.

  • Extend:  This will show your desktop on the main monitor and extend the display to the secondary monitor.  This means you can drag items between the two monitors.

  • Second Screen only:  This will show your desktop on your secondary monitor.  The main monitor will display a blank screen.

  • No labels
