Updating Calendly Buffer Time and Availability Rules

*You will need to edit each individual meeting type separately.

Go to Event Types in Calendly

Click on Event Type

Select 2nd Box (When can people book this event):

Scroll down. Check this box if you would like a “buffer” before or after your Event/Meeting. This means a lead time and a wrap up time for you before or after a meeting – no one can book over. If you leave unchecked, people could book back to back. If you check the box (either or both) you can select how many minutes for the buffer.

Or:

To update the start time increments for your Event/meeting, click on this link at the bottom of that page,

Use this to select when a meeting can be booked for a start time. It is defaulted to 15 mins. You can make this shorter using the drop down so students have more options to schedule. 5 minutes is the shortest.

Use this to choose how much notice you need for an event/meeting scheduled. 1 day? 1 hour? If you choose 1 hour, this means someone can book a meeting with you that will start in an hour. 1 day would mean, if booking today, they can only choose a meeting time available tomorrow or after. Etc.

You will need to edit each individual meeting type separately.
