Chrome printing known issues

Google has recently pushed an update to Google Chrome that has caused issues printing from the browser directly.

Reported Errors

The following errors have occurred when printing from Chrome recently:

  1. The printed page will be formatted incorrectly.

  2. The printed page will have the text "Error: Typecheck" on it.

  3. The printed page will be missing elements, such as tables or images.

Workaround

For the time being, if a user is having trouble printing, please have them try the following:

  1. Save the page or PDF (Save/Print to PDF) to their computer.

  2. Open the saved page/PDF in either of the following:

    • Adobe Acrobat Reader

    • Another browser, such as Firefox.

  3. Try printing the saved page/PDF.

Google knows about this issue. Use this workaround indefinitely until we hear otherwise.
