LCN 137 - AV Settings

Playback and Recording Devices

  • To view the available audio Playback Devices, right-click on the audio icon located in the bottom right hand corner of the primary monitor.

  • Select Playback devices to open the dialog box

  • This dialog box will display the available audio devices. The default setting should be defaulted to the Newline Disp and will play audio from the TV installed in LCN137.

  • Right-click on one of the playback device and select Test so you can hear where the audio will play.

  • If you would like audio to play to a different output, right-click on the playback device you wish to change to. Then select Test to verify this is from where you would like audio to play. Once you confirm this audio output, right-click on the playback device then select Set as Default Device.

  • To view the available Recording device, click the Recording tab to show the available devices.

  • Digital Audio Interface should be the default device.  These are the speakers installed in the ceiling.  This will provide good coverage of the entire room

  • Microphone Array is the microphone that is inside the TV installed in LCN137.

Zoom

  • Inside of Zoom there are additional Audio Options that you can select. The quick menu displayed allows you to quickly switch between multiple audio and microphone sources. These sources will be the same as the sources available through the PC's Playback and Recording dialog box from the previous steps.

  • If you wish to test or select a new source, select Audio Option. You can also select Same as System to use the default settings from the previous steps.

  • Newline Disp is the default device and will play audio from the TV. Speakers will play audio from the PC speakers.

  • You can also test or select a new microphone source.  When you enter test mode, the selected mics will listen and display the audio levels that are being picked up by the microphone. Digital Audio Interface is the default device and will record audio from the ceiling microphones.

  • Microphone Array will record audio from the TV installed in LCN137

  • You can also view the available cameras from which you can record. Click the Video tab to view the available devices.

  • Or, from the main screen in Zoom, you can switch between available devices or select Video Settings to preview the available sources.

  • The PTZ Pro Camera is the camera installed on the Tripod; it will provide this view as default. You can rotate this camera to view the room.

  • The Newline TruCam is the camera installed in the TV installed in LCN137; it will provide this view of the classroom.

  • The HP 2.0MP High Definition Webcam is the camera from the All-in-One PC installed on the desktop and will provide this view.

  • Lastly, to record a presentation from Zoom you can press the record button on the main screen of Zoom. To find where the recording of the presentation got saved, click the Recording tab.

  • You can store your recording to your PC. To change the location, click Change, and choose a new location to save your files.
