Private printing on copiers
There may be times where you need to set a password/PIN to release a print job. To set a password/PIN to release a print job with sensitive information (evaluations, applications, etc...) at a centralized printer, follow the instructions below.
Setting up a File for Private Printing
Open a file for printing, choose File > Print.
Click Printer Properties or Properties depending on the application.
Select Private Print from the Print Job dropdown menu on the Basic tab.
Select the ellipsis next to Private Print.
Type in a password/PIN and click OK.
Choose any combination of numbers and letters, 1-63 characters long.
Set any other print or finishing settings and click OK to accept all settings.
Click Print to send the job to the copier's queue.
Retrieving Private Print Jobs from Copiers
Note: These directions may vary depending on model of copier.
If prompted, log into the printer with your OTC username and password (this only occurs on PaperCut printers).
Press the Home button on the printer (the house icon):
Press print on the touch-screen panel:
Select your username and then press OK:
Enter in the password you set for your private job to verify your print job:
Tap the private job you wish to print:
Once highlighted, tap on Print:
Your private print job will now print. Once you are done, press the person button under the home button to log out:
